Our experience has been that few dental and orthodontic practices have
a highly organized and efficient system of identifying credit risk, selling
their case, and granting credit in the most appropriate manner. In addition,
health care practices have a difficult time establishing "systems"
which ensure each patient is handled appropriately, the bookkeeping and other
administrative procedures surrounding the patient are handled appropriately, and
that each patient pays appropriately for the health care he has received.
Our in-office visits and the significant follow-up provided
afterward are designed to implement the systems necessary in the practice in
such an effective manner that you can absolutely count on them working month in
and month out for the rest of the time you are in practice.
As a result of our consultation, you can expect some very

1. Immediate (within 30 days) and
substantial increases in cash flow. By learning new verbal
skills in case presentation, your staff will be able to increase the average
down payment received on new case starts and the average monthly payment while
at the same time increasing case acceptance. It is difficult to estimate
dollar amounts, but our average client experiences a 17% to 21% increase in cash
flow within two months of our initial visit. This cash flow is sustained and
will actually increase when improved delinquency control measures are
implemented.
2. Reduced delinquency. You will

delinquency has been reduced to the point of being insignificant to the
practice. Many clients have virtually eliminated delinquency altogether. Your
staff will be trained to make accurate credit decisions and to grant credit
appropriately. They will learn highly efficient letter writing skills and
telephone collection skills which will allow you to collect a higher percentage
of your delinquent accounts without having to use "hard core"
collection techniques, collection agencies, attorneys, etc.
3. Reduction in failed appointments and
improved clinical cooperation. Within six months you
will see a significant reduction in failed appointments and a measurable
increase in clinical cooperation. Both of these results will come from
your staff learning how to communicate with patients effectively
regarding these particular issues. By keeping delinquency lower there
will be fewer patients in a negative relationship with the practice and,
therefore, fewer patients who are likely to cause the failed
appointment and poor clinical cooperation problems.
4. Lower accounts receivable. The goal for
the ratio of accounts receivable to production is different with every dental
specialty. It ranges from 1.3 months of production in a pediatric practice to
5.5 months of production in an orthodontic practice. By handling financial
arrangements and delinquency control in an efficient and effective manner, your
receivables will be brought to, and maintained at, a level that is appropriate
to your specialty and your production.
5. Reduced stress and increased quality of
life. Finally, as a result of this consultation, you can fully
